Armando Gil, an artist & inker, primarily worked for Marvel Comics in the seventies and eighties. Gil came to the United States from Santa Domingo in the Dominican Republic and attended the High School of Art & Design in midtown Manhattan.
Armando has worked for Marvel (Avengers Annual 10 (1st appearance of Rogue), KaZar the Savage, Punisher Summer Special, Conan the Barbarian), Dark Horse (Predator: Big Time), Image (Spartan X) and Topps (Spartan X, Zorro) Comics.
I've enjoyed Armando Gil's artwork with his extended work with Brent Anderson on Ka-Zar (finished art & inks), Jurassic Park: Raptor (pencils) and many illustrations of Conan in Savage Sword of Conan, Handbook of the Conan Universe (fantastic cover by Michael Kaluta) and Conan Saga (with some original covers by Barry Windsor-Smith.)
I hope you've admired his work as much as I have. If you haven't, be sure to look it up.
It's worth it.
Thank you.
