CANCELLED COMICS CAVALCADE PRESENTS DEADMAN !!!

In the aftermath of the "DC Implosion" of June 1978, DC produced 35 copies each of a 2-issue photocopy compilation comprised of some of the material from the recently cancelled titles, along with older inventory. Nothing is printed on the back sides of the pages and the stories are separated by pages of colored paper.

Though not for sale, labelled with one dollar price image borrowed from preliminary, unused trade dress for DC's Dollar Comics. Also uses Golden/Silver Age Superman/DC logo.

"Requiem for a Deadman"
Deadman is summoned to a seance at a psi-lab where four people are trying to raise the spirit of Boston Brand, whom they believe has been sabotaging their experiments. He suspects that one of the four, Annabelle, is actually subconsciously causing the accidents. Deadman enters her mind, but finds another consciousness present. Their battle in Annabelle's mind sends her into a coma. He finds that another of the group, Conrad Cabel, also possessed psychic powers. Deadman returns to Annabelle's mind to release her from Cabel's control and use her powers, with her help, to defeat Cabel.
