IN REMEMBRANCE OF LEONARD NIMOY !!!

It was a shock, first to hear of the great Leonard Nimoy going into the hospital, but then to hear of his death!

I was stunned, in denial. This is my reflection on the contributions he made to my world! A great man that will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.

In Man from U.N.C.L.E., with Werner Klemperer!

As Paris in Mission: Impossible!
"Live Long and Prosper"

An illustrious career, from Man from U.N.C.L.E., Mission: Impossible to the legendary "Live Long and Prosper" Mr. Spock in Star Trek. And that's not even counting his stage, writing and musical careers.

From Catlow!

From Transformers: Dark of the Moon!

His movie career spanned Them, Catlow, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, to, wait for it, the Star Trek franchise.
In The Twilight Zone!

From Bonanza!

Shipwrecked with Lloyd Bridges in Sea Hunt!
In the classic Outer Limits episode "I, Robot," from the classic story by Eando Binder!

Doing comedy on Get Smart!

I think this show speaks for itself!
His television career ranged from Wagon Train, The Virginian, Bonanza, Sea Hunt, Twilight Zone, Outer Limits ("I, Robot"), Man from U.N.C.L.E., Get Smart, Mission: Impossible to, wait for it, once again, Star Trek.
On Man from U.N.C.L.E. with William Shatner!
As "The Great Paris" in Mission: Impossible!
In the failed pilot for Stat Trek! Failed, can you imagine?
As the immortal Mr. Spock in the classic Star Trek series!
In Man from U.N.C.L.E., he guest starred with William Shatner in "The Project Strigas Affair." In The Virginian, he guest starred with DeForest Kelley. In Mission: Impossible, Nimoy played Paris, an IMF agent who was an ex-magician and make-up expert. To his defining character of Mr. Spock in Star Trek.

And let us not forget his uncredited Mr. Spock appearance on The Big Bang Theory in "The Transporter Malfunction!"

I was fortunate to see him at our Emerald City Comicon a few years back and even got him to sign Gold Key's Star Trek #2 with a terrific Mr. Spock cover. It was a great pleasure!

Live Large My Friends!

Thank You!

Nimoy, with creator Gene Roddenberry & the crew of Star Trek!

  1. He also did a guest spot on TJ Hooker with Shatner in the '80s. His portayal of Mr. Spock was subtly and greatly influential on me. I have always been a bit detached to begin with but watching Spock use his mind and seek out facts and logical solutions made me feel good: "Look at Spock, in every situation he tries to figure out what the correct course is influenced by reality and logic rather than ephemeral feeling or gut/kneejerk reactions." I read a Nimoy interview where he said if he had to be anyone other than himself, he'd like to be Spock. And such an underrated actor!
