VITAL AND DANGEROUS MISSIONS OF THE SEAVIEW IN VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA !!!

Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea was one of my favorite TV series. It was some of the best and most exciting science fiction on TV at the time

UK comic book of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea!

Admiral Nelson: Seaview's job is never finished. As long as there are destructive forces in the world. As long as there are secrets of nature to be probed, believe me, there'll be work for us. On missions just as vital and as dangerous as this one.

In Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Admiral Harriman Nelson's submarine Seaview is commissioned to investigate the mysteries of the seas. Usually he, Commander Lee Crane and the crew find more problems than answers. Officially, the Seaview is used for undersea marine research and visits many exotic locations in the Seven Seas, but its secret mission is to defend the planet from all world and extraterrestrial threats

In regards to the Gold Key comic book series, all but one of the Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea issues have painted covers with a photo overlay from the TV show. Issues #1 through #7 have the traditional Gold Key pin-up back covers. There were no ads in issue #1.

All four seasons of the Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea TV series are available in a nicely packaged DVD series.

Whitman Books published a Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea hardback novel by science fiction author Raymond F. Jones, based on the TV series.

Pyramid Books reissued a Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea paperback novel by Theodore Sturgeon. Even though it has a TV series photo cover, it's actually the adaptation of the motion picture.

Love the cover, glad when I found it!

There is a novel by Paul Fairman, City Under the Sea, which was to be a lead into the world of the TV series.

A board game with a cover from the pilot episode, lunch box featuring the flying sub and Donruss black and white trading cards were also released in conjunction with the Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea TV series.

Thank You!

  1. Never heard of that novel by Paul W. Fairman. I used to have the hardback book you show here, about the surviving Minoans capturing the Seaview, when I was a child. Never bought any Voyage comics, but, remember some of these from my friends' collections.
