"A Man Who Loved Peace So Much, That He Is Willing To Fight For It!"
I enjoyed Charlton Comics' way too short lived, five issue Peacemaker series. I always loved the Joe Gill stories brought to life by Pat Boyette's artwork. I sure don't see him as the Comedian!
The first issue continued from Fightin' Five #41 (another cool series worth checking out) and they continue as the back up feature.
In The Peacemaker #1, The Commodore has been damaging fishing fleets, but the Peacemaker captures him and destroys his submarine. This is followed by a second story involving a small Balkan nation has secretly constructed nuclear facilities in Antarctica and threatens the world with destruction, but the Peacemaker destroys the facilities.

The third (Our Future World) and fifth issues (The Fire World) carry full issue stories with the Peacemaker taking on underwater and volcanic threats.
The Peacemaker #4 explores the origin, and background of the Peacemaker, as Christopher Smith, looks back on how it all began.

This was good old fashioned nineteen sixties, heroic, comic book action. The Peacemaker, like Batman, doesn't have superpowers, just a will to fight for what's right.
We could use a little old fashioned.
Live Large My Friends!
Thank You!
Great comics that need to be collected! And no, despite what the misinformed moral relativists say, there is nothing contradictory in fighting for peace.
