Sal Trapani (Nulka, T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents) drew a short lived, four issues, teenage superhero series from Dell Comics named appropriately enough, Superheroes. Sorry, not sure who wrote this series.

Four teens find they can transfer their minds into the bodies of four superhero androids named El (laser, infrared, x-ray) who is teen Dan Boyd, Polymer Polly (speed & heat resistance) who is teen Polly Wheeler, Hy (hypersonics) who is teen Tom Dennis and Crispy (cryogenics) who is teen Reb Ogelvie.
Then in Superheroes #2, Ameirca's greatest super heroes battle The Clown, Mr. Nutt and Johnny Boom Boom all in this super issue!

Meanwhile, in Superheroes #3, the Fab 4 meet the incredible Coal Man. 10,000 degrees of hate filled heat, can they stop him?

While the last issue, Superheroes #4, seems to spell the end of the Fab 4! A fantastic transformation into reality.
There are some wacky names for the villains introducted such as, Enndo-Man, Dr. Luuki, the Clown & his Clown Gang, Mr. Nutt, Johnny Boom-Bomb & Genius, the Coal Man, Dr. Orb, Nepto of the Reef and Mr. Mod & Birdie
