TERRIFIC TONY TOLLARICO WAS A FUN COMIC BOOK ARTIST !!!

Tony Tollarico  was a fun comic book artist drawing primarily for Classics Illustrated, Dell & Charlton Comics.

Tony drew the two issues of a western comic book, Lobo, for Dell Comics. It was the first known of comic book to star an African American hero (predating Bill Cosby on TV.)

Tollerico additionally worked on Warren's Creepy, Eerie & Vampirella titles.

During Tony's tenure at Charlton Comics, he drew Blue Beetle.

When Tollarico went to work for Dell, he drew Dracula, Werewolf (my favorite of his, love the black costume) & Frankenstein (colorful.)

While working at Harvey Comics, Tony worked on Jigsaw, another short lived super-hero series. It was a fun comic I enjoyed in my younger days. I'd sure like to see a reprint of it along with the other Harvey series, most notably, Spyman.

Tollarico's last known work in comics was again for Charlton, in Ghost Manor #15. From there he went on to write & illustrate more than 1,000 children's books.

 
Tony Tollarico did fun comics and we should feel good about that.
