FANTASTIC LEGACY OF ALBERTO GIOLETTI LIVES ON !!!

Alberto Giolitti came to the U.S. via South America, originally hailing from Rome.

He was a artistic genius, a workhorse for Dell Comics & Western Publishing. Alberto's art was top notch, I've not see his artwork look bad, like Steve Ditko & Wally Wood. Giolitti worked on a number of titles with a large portfolio of his comic book artwork.

I first came upon his artwork in Gold Key Comics. Alberto worked on Star Trek, Have Gun Will Travel, Turok, Tarzan, John Steele & Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. He often worked with little or no reference information.

Giolitti also provided me with one of the first times I've read & enjoyed King Kong. It was superb. Additionally, I've been a Planet of the Apes fan since the first movie, and a great novel by Pierre Boulle. Alberto provided the artwork for the comic book adaptation of Beneath the Planet of the Apes, a great companion to the Michael Avallone paperback novelization.

We were blessed with having Alberto Giolitti's artwork to enjoy and admire.

And more recently, thanks to Checker Books (Star Trek) & Hermes Press (Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea) Alberto's work can live on, along with a great web site devoted to him & his family. I like the sound of that (albertogiolitti.com.)

Live Large.

Thank you.
